The client
CodeRoad is a technology execution partner that helps companies build software, modernize legacy systems, and put AI into production, backed by nearshore engineering teams across Latin America. I produced this video in partnership with a marketing agency.
The challenge
The video had one job: get business leaders to take CodeRoad’s free AI Maturity Assessment. The audience was demanding, including C-suite executives, operations leaders in fields like supply chain and manufacturing, and IT and data leads at mid-to-large companies. Many of these organizations were experimenting with AI in scattered, disconnected ways, without a clear strategy or measurable ROI.
The brief called for a provocative, urgent tone that still felt authoritative: warn viewers that competitors are moving fast, name the pain of unfocused AI efforts, and present the assessment as the reality check they need. Visually, it asked for minimalism, with bold text, clean motion graphics, icons, and word clouds.
The solution
Working from the provided script and brief, I executed the video in After Effects. It opens on a sharp question, “Where is your roadmap taking you?”, designed to make leaders stop and think about their own AI plans.
From there, map, gear, and globe visuals carry the story, echoing CodeRoad’s road-and-roadmap theme. Bold kinetic type delivers the urgency, clean icons explain what the assessment provides, including a personalized scorecard, gap analysis, and a roadmap for scaling AI, and CodeRoad’s signature purple keeps every frame on-brand. The pacing builds toward a single, clear call to action: stop guessing and take the free assessment.
The result
CodeRoad got a focused, conversion-driven video built for its website, YouTube, and LinkedIn, giving the marketing team a strong tool to drive sign-ups and position CodeRoad as a credible partner in AI strategy.
