The client
The Mom Project is a talent platform that connects companies with professional moms and caregivers. To promote its industry report, “How Hiring Moms Fuels Productivity + Profitability,” the company needed video that could turn survey data into a compelling case for hiring moms. I produced it in partnership with a marketing agency.
The challenge
The report’s findings were strong: 76% of companies say their mom employees are top performers, and 72% report a high ROI from their mom workforce. But stats alone don’t hold attention. The script was provided, and the video had to make the numbers land in two very different settings: a 30-second cut for LinkedIn and a 60-second version playing in a tradeshow booth, where people glance over while walking past.
The solution
I designed the visual style and all of the motion, animating both versions in After Effects. Each stat gets its own moment on screen, with numbers and headlines animated for emphasis so they stand out whether someone watches the whole video or catches just a few seconds. Quotes from the survey’s open-ended responses, such as moms’ “generosity of spirit,” add a human voice alongside the data.
The Mom Project’s brand includes a signature “m,” and I animated it throughout the video. One rule kept it recognizable: the “m” always appears in a contrasting color, even as the background changes from scene to scene. That consistency keeps the brand front and center without competing with the message.
The result
The Mom Project had two versions of one cohesive video, each sized for its setting: a quick, scroll-stopping cut for LinkedIn and a longer booth loop for tradeshow visitors, both driving interest in the industry report.
