The client
ADAM is a youth risk screening platform built by J&B Virtual Solutions. It powers the evidence-based screening tools developed by Possibilities for Change, a nonprofit I’ve worked with since 2016.
How it works
Middle and high school students take a screening on a tablet that asks about mental health and everyday risk behaviors, such as riding without a seatbelt, skateboarding without a helmet, vaping, and substance use. ADAM scores the results and sends them to a dashboard where a counselor can follow up and help each student build safer habits.
The challenge
The logo had to tell that whole story in one mark. It needed to clearly represent teenagers without leaving any student out, show the technology involved, and still work as a clean, professional software brand.
The solution
The logo shows a hooded teen standing inside a screen, surrounded by rising data bars. The hood keeps the figure’s gender and race open, so every student can see themselves in it, while the silhouette still reads clearly as a teenager. The screen represents the tablet where the screening happens, and the bar graph represents the dashboard counselors use to track progress. A light geometric wordmark and a blue-to-green gradient give the brand a modern, approachable tech feel.
I delivered two versions. The J&B Virtual Solutions version appears on Possibilities for Change materials, and a co-branded version represents both organizations when the logo is used on its own.
The result
ADAM has a logo that explains what the platform does, includes every student it serves, and works alongside the rest of the family of brands I’ve designed for this partnership, including Rising Together and the Possibilities for Change website.
