The client
Rising Together is a schoolwide mental health screening program that partners with schools and donors to identify at-risk youth early and connect them with support. It’s a partnership between two organizations: Possibilities for Change, which designs the screening methodology, and J&B Virtual Solutions, which builds the software. The program is championed by NFL legend Ray Lewis. I’ve worked with Possibilities for Change since 2016.
The challenge
Co-branding is one of the hardest assignments in logo design. The Rising Together logo had to include elements from two distinct brand styles, give each partner equal weight, and be approved by both organizations. It also had to stand on its own as a program brand, clear and hopeful enough to rally schools, donors, and communities around youth mental health.
The solution
I designed a logo that brings the two brands together into one cohesive mark, so neither partner overpowers the other. The result reads as a single, unified program while still reflecting both organizations behind it. I delivered the logo in positive and reverse versions so it works on light and dark backgrounds, in print, and on screen.
The result
Both partners approved the logo, and it has become the face of the program. It has appeared at live events featuring Ray Lewis, on websites, and across flyers and print materials, including the Rising Together program flyer. It’s part of a long-running partnership with Possibilities for Change that also includes their website and the Teen Speak book.
